The letter of Imam Ali to his son is recorded to have been noticed many times by scholars and researchers. But commentators have interpreted it line by line and considered it a plural and incoherent text. Sometimes they are even confused by not understanding the connection of its sentences. In this article, a new step has been taken towards a coherent interpretation of this letter, based on Tafarrod. a term obtained from the text of the letter 31 of Nahj ul-Balagha. In this article, the evidence in the letter31 is stated in an analytical way to confirm this rule and its compatibility with other concepts in the letter is explained. In the explanation made, based on this rule, we understand that the two terms Tafarrod (Selfhoodness) and nafs (ego) express the general truth governing the Imam's letter and show that everyone should pay attention to his own individuality (Selfhoodness) and measure his own self. This general principle gives rise to other recommendations in the letter. Although the mentioned rule has been confirmed by verses and narrations in addition to letter 31, there are problems with it, such as promoting selfishness and relativism. The important point here is that it is completely possible to solve these problems based on the letter and by referring to it again. Solving the mentioned problems is a re-emphasis on the coherence and unity of the concepts of letter 31 based on the rule of Tafarrod
