The meaning of life is one of the most important components in the light of which a person feels a sense of identity and usefulness and creates the necessary motivation for the continuation of life and the desire to live in humans. Considering the two common interpretations and analyses of the meaning of life, namely "the purpose of life" and "the value of life", it can be acknowledged that what plays an irreplaceable and decisive role in giving meaning to life is faith in God and heartfelt belief and faith in Him, which, from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS), is one of the most important pillars with a complete impact on human orientations. This issue has also been the focus of attention of psychologists, sociologists and philosophers in the contemporary world. Since satisfaction with life and achieving a good life is one of the innate needs of humans, it is defined in each school based on the specific worldview of that school. Therefore, the obstacles and harms that affect giving meaning to life will be different. In this study, using a descriptive-analytical method and the library collection method, the harms to the realization of the meaning of monotheistic life and the obstacles to the influence of faith in giving meaning to life from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) have been explained. The findings of the study indicate that from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS): anthropocentrism, utilitarianism, and self-alienation, on the one hand, and superstition and negligence, on the other, are considered to be among the most important obstacles and harms to the influence of faith on giving meaning to human monotheistic life.
