The meaning of life is one of the most important components in the light of which a person feels identity and usefulness and creates the necessary motivation for the continuation of life and the desire to live in a person. It can be admitted that what plays an irreplaceable and decisive role in giving meaning to life is faith in God and heartfelt belief and conviction in Him, which from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) is one of the most important pillars that has a complete impact on human orientations, and this issue has also been the focus of attention of psychologists, sociologists and philosophers in the contemporary world. Since satisfaction with life and achieving a good life as one of the innate needs of man, is defined in each school based on the specific worldview of that school. Therefore, the obstacles and harms that affect giving meaning to life will be different. In this study, using a descriptive-analytical method using a library collection method, the harms to the realization of the meaning of monotheistic life and the obstacles to the influence of faith in giving meaning to life from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) have been explained. The findings of the study indicate that from the perspective of that Imam: anthropocentrism, utilitarianism, self-alienation on the one hand, and superstition and negligence on the other hand are considered among the most important obstacles and harms to the influence of faith in giving meaning to human monotheistic life.
