As an orator, Imam Ali (AS) has used numerous strategies and techniques in the process of conveying his message to the audience, one of the most important of which is the technique of "reflection" or "transformation", which is achieved by focusing on the unification of the word order of two phrases and their identical arrangement, leading to syntactic balance of the text. In light of the speaker's special attention to this technique in Nahj al-Balagha, the present study aims to identify, extract, and classify, through language pragmatics and a descriptive-analytical method, in the first step, the fragments of speech that are based on the structure of the aforementioned technique in the sermons of Nahj al-Balagha, and in the second step, to reveal the context and purpose of the reflection-based speeches. In the next step, by focusing on the structure, aspect, and tense of the fragments of speech in question, an attempt is made to typify them and to discuss the function of the aforementioned technique with the audience. The results of the study show a close coordination and alignment between the context and purpose of the studied examples and the form of speech and language used, such that it can be concluded that the speaker's goal in using the photo technique was not simply to beautify the speech. Another result is that the photos used in the structure are more in the form of news sentences than essay sentences and are more future-oriented than retroactive in terms of time.
