Careful thinking, as an internal restraining factor, makes humans aware so that they realize in their interactions or voluntary actions they cannot grant themselves complete permission and right to actualize their potential desires. One of the ways for humanity to achieve psychological and spiritual health is through care and protection of thought (careful thinking), enabling them to use their thinking in the correct path. The objective of the present study is to enumerate the components of careful thinking based on identifying the dimensions of thinking derived from the statements of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha. The research method is conceptual analysis. Conceptual analysis is an analysis through which we attain a valid understanding of the ordinary meaning of a concept or a set of related concepts. The stages of conceptual analysis pertain to deciding on the level of analysis, examining the semantic boundaries of the concept, and analyzing the components of careful thinking obtained from Nahj al-Balagha. The research instrument included note-taking, and after data collection, the results were analyzed qualitatively. The findings indicate that the statements of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha possess the potential for extracting various dimensions of careful thinking from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS). Furthermore, the results showed that, considering the dimensions of thinking in Nahj al-Balagha, there is potential within the statements of Imam Ali (AS) to extract and enumerate components for careful thinking.
